HBCH is a proud member of the Greater Houston Partnership.  GHP is embarking on an initiative to better understand the pressing issue of mental health in the workplace.

Mental health has emerged as a great concern for business leaders, employees and policymakers alike. Recognizing the urgency of this matter, the Partnership is leading an effort to assess the existing landscape of mental health resources and benefits available to employees within our business community. Our goal is to understand the ways businesses are addressing the needs of their employees, identify gaps, and collaboratively develop strategic pathways for enhancing the attraction and retention of employees.

GHP invites you to complete a brief survey that will provide valuable insights into the resources and benefits currently offered by your organization to support the mental well-being of your employees.

Challenges and Benefits of Human Papilloma Virus Vaccination

Routine vaccination as a public health initiative is one of the most cost-effective and successful health care interventions in the population-health arsenal. There remains a stigma associated with HPV as a sexually transmitted disease and a lack of awareness of its associated cancers.  Associated cancers include head and neck, oral, anal, and vaginal. Of the 36,500 cases of HPV -leading to cancer/ annually 33,700 cases can be prevented. This HPV infographic summarizes what employers need to know about HPV and the vaccine.  More information can be found in this AJMC article on innovative vaccination initiatives. See full article.
